An owner or prospective owner of a Listed Building carries a burden of responsibility to protect a building, object or structure that has been judged to be of national importance in terms of architectural or historic interest. You are never really the owner of a listed building merely a custodian of the building for future generations and have a duty to maintain these old and listed buildings so that they can be passed on to the next generation, hopefully in a better condition, and certainly not any worse.

We are able to undertake your survey prior to purchase, carry out a condition survey to help you plan your maintenance and repair. We will work with you to renovate and adapt your property by preparing drawings, specifications required to secure the necessary listed building consent when ever possible.

Ampleforth Abbey Churches and associated property in the North West and North Yorkshire. (Diocesan Surveyor for twelve years.) I.e. renewal of the roof structure and slate covering to St Austins Church, Liverpool.
